SA Government Fees and Charges

Posted on: July 18, 2009

The sharp increases in Govt charges, not as the result of the financial crisis, but the inability to collect over $170 million from more than 500,000 unpaid fines. The long standing feud between the  judiciary and  Parliament has reached an alarming situation. Over 125,000 public servants being paid $285 million a year, with  hundreds unassigned -in-waiting, pales in comparison with the failure of the judicial system to collect this money resulting in such a shortfall that the corrupt morality of this Government abandons responsibility by taking the easy way out and raises taxes and charges to cover it.
